Missile technologies open up big opportunities for the "Roadster"

The announcement of the most fashionable supercar from Tesla was held recently, but the head of the company Ilon Musk is already arguing on Twitter about the future of his new cars. According to him, the car, which will be produced in two years or less, will be only a basic model, whose capabilities will eventually increase due to rocket technologies.

"Should clarify that this is the base model performance. There will be a special option package that takes it to the next level. "wrote Musk on his Twitter account.

Many Musk projects borrow technologies from each other. So, the automobile company Tesla uses the same innovative welding that is used in the construction of SpaceX rockets. Probably, something from the developments of SpaceX is already in use or planned to be introduced into the production of auto.

"I do not claim that the next Roadster will be able to make flights and jumps, but everything can be ...", Tesla Head said, adding that all this is just safety issues, since missile technologies offer great opportunities for the manufacturer.

The first "Roadster" from Tesla will be on sale by 2020, will accelerate to 100 kilometers per hour in 1.9 seconds and will be able to develop a maximum speed of 400 kilometers per hour.
